In order to start properly please choose the correct role. There are two roles provided by Commerce 365 which are named ''Commerce 365 Manager'' and ''Commerce 365 Content Manager''. In all of the instructions the Commerce 365 Manager role will be used.

Switch to the correct role via ''My Settings > Role > Select ''Commerce 365 Manager'' > Click ''OK''

Now we are ready to start the wizard which will consist out of 3 steps.

Step 1: Your Commerce 365 platform credentials

To start the setup click ''Yes, start setting up Commerce 365 now'' in the blue notification bar or use the search function and search for ''Commerce 365 Setup Wizard''.

Either of those actions takes you to the screen below, this is the Commerce 365 Setup Wizard. Click ''Next'' to start.

Enter your App ID and App Secret which you have received via email, App ID’s and Secrets usually look like this;

If you have installed a trial version via Microsoft AppSource, you should have received an email with a set of credentials. The email with the App ID and App Secret looks like the email below.

If you do not find it in your mailbox please check your spam folder.

If you haven't received this information, please send an email to [email protected] and we will send you a set of keys as soon as possible.

When the App ID and App Secret are filled in the validation will take place and the connection status will show ''Available'' like the image below. This means you are clear to proceed to the next step.

If the connection status does not show ''Available'' please contact [email protected] and we are happy to help you out.

Click ''Next'' to continue the Commerce 365 Setup Wizard.

Step 2: Your Magento credentials

Until Magento 2.4.3 the only way to connect with other systems was to create a so-called integration. As of Magento version 2.4.4, Magento has introduced the use of OAuth2 for authentication. Right now Commerce 365 still makes use of integrations. OAuth2 support will be added soon.

In order for the integration to work properly the use of Bearer Tokens / Access Tokens needs to be Enabled.

As of Magento 2.4.4 the use of these Bearer Tokens / Access Tokens has been disabled by default.

To enable this, go to Stores > Configuration > Services > OAuth > Consumer Settings.

Check if Allow OAuth Access Tokens to be used as standalone Bearer tokens is set to ''Yes''. If not please do so and click on ''Save Config'', otherwise the integration will be Unauthorized later on.

Now we are all set and ready to create the integration.

In the Magento backend, go to System > Integrations.

This will open the following page in which you are able to create a new integration. Click on ''Add New Integration'' to create the integration.

Fill in the field ''Name'' and give the integration a recognisable name, preferably ''Commerce 365''. Then click on the tab ''API'' on the left hand of your screen.

On the API tab we need to select the resource access that we provide the API with. In order for the integration to properly work set the Resource Access to All.

When the API is provided with the correct Resource Access click ''Save & Activate'' to Activate the integration.

The next page will asks to approve the API Access, click ''Allow'' on the top right of your screen.

Now your Commerce 365 Integration token is created. Copy the Access Token carefully, this Access token is needed in the next step. Click ''Done'' to complete the integration.

Step 3: Your Magento Credentials

Go back to Commerce 365 Setup Wizard in Business Central and you should see the window where we left off.

The wizard asks to enter both the Magento REST API URL and the Magento REST API Access Token. A REST API URL usually looks like https://www.yourstore.com/rest/ . Put this in the field Magento REST API URL and put the Access Token we just created in Step 2 in the field Magento REST API Access Token.

The Magento connection status will change to ''Available'', click ''Next'' to proceed.

The final window shows that both connections are Available, the integration is ready to go. Click ''Finish'' to finish the setup and activate the integration.
