Name; When creating a Magento item from a standard BC item, the value of the Description field is copied into this field. From this point on you are free to change it.
Type; This is an important field. If an item comes in different variantions, like t-shirts with different colours and sizes, or an iPhone with 256GB or 512GB of memory, then you should look at using Grouped or Configurable. For most other products type Simple will be the right choice.
Attribute Set Code; Here you will select the right set of attributes for your item. Click here for more information about attributes and attribute sets.
Status; Disabled means that an item will not be shown in the Magento front-end.
Visibility; When working with item type Grouped or Configurable, you might want to select Not Visible Individually. This means that a single item variant like T-Shirt ABC in Size M and Color Red is only shown as part of its main product, and not as an individual product. The most common value is Catalog & Search. This means that a product is visible when browsing through categories and when using the search engine. With the two other options you can limit visibility to either one of those.
Use Custom URL Key & URL Key; By default Magento will automatically generate a URL Key based on the item name. Use these fields if you want to manually override the URL Key. The URL Key is the last part of the web address through which an item can be found. https://www.yourstore.com/this-is-the-url-key
Be aware; each product needs an unique URL Key.
Meta Title, Meta Description, Meta Keywords; These fields are used by search engines to index your product pages. You can read more about this at Google.
Use Weight; Business Central has 2 weight fields, Net and Gross. Here you can select which weight field to use for Magento.
Special Price; Setting a special price means that in Magento the original price will be shown in strike though style, and the actual price is shown next to that original price. You can either set a fixed special price, or allow the system to show the customer specific price as the special price.
Manage Stock; When enabled Magento will show and behave according to your actual inventory number. When disabled, Magento assumes that a product is always availabe for sale.
Backorders; Use Global Config means that you have configured backorder behaviour in Magento, and that this setting applies to this product as well. No backorders means that this product will not be shown once inventory reaches zero. Allow Qty. Below Zero means that a product can still be purchased even if inventory is zero or below, but the customer will not be informed about the fact that their are placing a backorder. Allow Qty. Below Zero And Notify Customer means that a product can still be purchased and that the customer is notified that they are placing a backorder.
Minimum Qty Allowed in Cart, Maximum Qty Allowed in Cart; Specify whether there is a minimum and/or maximum quantity rule for this product.
Qty Increments; When enabled, a product can only be purchased with increments of the specified quantity.
Short Description, Description; Two rich text editors which allow you fully describe your products.
